Hema Maps is a Brisbane-based mapping and publishing company that was founded in 1983. The company has expanded purposefully to the point where today it has comprehensive Australia and overseas map coverage in a variety of forms including folded maps, atlases, guides and digital products such as apps and dedicated GPS navigation systems. The Hema Explorer is the perfect companion for 4WD, camping, caravanning, geocaching and other adventure activities. Current version of the Hema Explorer Navigator is HX-1.
Hema's vast range of other products includes national road atlases – including a great one for truckies – and regional atlases that expand on the maps in a handy book format. Just for 4wd enthusiasts there are plenty guides to the best trails, including a series of desert trail handbooks. Caravaners don't miss out with the all the best free camp listed in the latest edition of Camps Australia Wide. They're making a lot of their mapping available digitally, too. A new era for Hema Maps
Emprise Group Holdings (Emprise) was established in July 2018 following the merger of the Hema Maps and Adventures Group businesses. The Emprise business has a rich history in content production, both magazine and book publishing, plus proven capability in delivering high-value digital products including GPS hardware, online marketplaces and digital apps. Our brands date back almost 50 years and include the market-leading brands Hema Maps, Caravan World, Camper, Outdoor and Trade-A-Boat. The Emprise team is made up of over 50 talented individuals, who when not travelling to remote parts of Australia, reside in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
