Genuine suburban anode rod for all suburban hot water systems.
All Surburban RV Hot Water Systems have an anode rod which absorbs all the corrosive action of hot water. It is located on the bottom of the HWS under the main burner, you simply unscrew this to drain the tank of water. If the rod is mostly eaten away, simply replace it with a new one.
The Suburban Anode Rod contains magnesium and is made for use in the 4, 5 & 6 Gallon tanks. Please be aware that some imitation anode rods can cause damage to your Suburban HWS so ensure you only use genuine Suburban water heater parts.

"Through the years we’ve seen non-genuine anode rods ruin countless Suburban Hot Water Systems. These imitation anodes can be the wrong length and cause damage to the cold water inlet collet. They can also use the incorrect thread style and do irreversible damage to the pitch on the internal thread of the tank causing leaks.
Some imitations are even made from the wrong alloy composition which may cause the tank to smell like rotten eggs and also leave a green jelly-like compound in the bottom of your tank. The best way to ensure you don’t damage and shorten the life of a Suburban HWS is to play it safe and only use Genuine Suburban Anodes and rest assured that Coast to Coast will give you peace of mind by standing behind you."
